Start with your vinyl product
Keep the product name, care sheet and warranty with your home records. Use the manufacturer’s directions for that exact flooring.
- Remove loose dirt and grit before cleaning. Use the flooring maker’s recommended cleaner and cleaning method.
- Wipe spills promptly. A waterproof plank claim does not protect the subfloor from leaks or flooding.
- Use approved furniture protection and lift heavy items instead of dragging them.
- For paint, ink, adhesive or other difficult spots, consult the exact product’s instructions. Do not escalate through household solvents or abrasives without approval for that finish.
